This book is part of the Canadian Historical Mysteries published by Canadian publisher BWL Publishing, and is set in 1918 in Calgary, Alberta. The author did her research, and the book is well written. I enjoyed the historical details including references to the Great War, the Spanish Influenza pandemic and the early days of prohibition. The characters are convincing, in particular Detective Tanner, and the reader is kept guessing until the end as to who committed the murders.
